Chapter 4: Daytona

The night before our planned attack we stayed in a swanky hotel just 15 minutes north of Daytona. Two to a room, and Walter used his fake ID and alias for the name the rooms to be under, just in case.

Excited to finally spend some alone time together, and the reality setting in that there was a chance that this would be our last night alive in each other’s, kept my hands all over him. As soon as he poked his head out of the bathroom door, with a towel wrapped around his midsection, I clung to him as if trying to keep him from running away. Our lips formed around the others and the tips of our tongues met gingerly.

My body landed facedown into the bed, as thoughts traversed through my brain, begging to find an answer to the following question: What if tomorrow is the last time you see him?

If this were the case, and danger prevented either one of us from continuing our lives, I would make damn sure that tonight was the best night that we ever had. I reached behind my back and pulled his hips down to feel him inside me. Our bodies and minds moved to one beat. The muscles of his body bulged and pressed into me. I felt his perspiration drip and fall to splash on the skin of my back. The warm touch of his skin against mine was more relaxing and exhilarating than any Jacuzzi on planet earth.

“I can’t lose you.” I turned my head and whispered back to him, tears beginning to form at the corners of my eyes.
